We are testing Sesam and are getting very low perfromance on file backups for our Windows servers.
For example,
When performing an Exchange Backup we average a nice 125GB/Hour
When we backup the Exchnage Servers C:\ drive we get about 12GB/Hour
When we backup our Windows File server shared drive (not the c: drive) we get about 12GB/hour
When we backup our RedHat file server we get about 75GB/hour
All three servers are identical hardware. Whats weird is that the same box can do 125GB when doing an exchange backup but it's C: drive is very slow. It's C: drive is an identical RAID to the exchange drive.
I did notice that CPU utilization goes to 100% when doing a file backup. I did make sure everthing was defragged.
Is this normal for SEP or is there somthing wrong witht he file backup agent config?
