Is it possible to configure the newday event to not interupt an active backup or restore task.
For example, if the wrong tape it in the drive during a backup, it is common to insert the tape in the morning and then let the backup run during the day. However, the newday event will kill the job when starts.
Furthermore, when performing long restores, which are often done during the day, it will commonly be scheduled over the period of the newday event.
The newday schedule can be modified prior to running a restore job but that is a pain and a bit of a work around. Is there any other option to makign the newday event not cancle active backup/restore tasks.
