Friday May 7, 2010 --Boulder, CO: SEP Software, Corp., a German-based company with U.S. headquarters in Boulder, CO has introduced SEP Sesam Citrix Live Recovery, an online backup and recovery solution for Citrix XenServer this week at the fourth annual Citrix Synergy exhibition at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA.
According to SEP Software President Tim Wagner, the new version runs on almost all Linux versions including Novell SUSE, RedHat RHEL 5.x, Debian, Ubuntu and other open source operating systems. SEP Software prides itself on running on the largest number of operating systems available and is designed for use in cross-platform environments.
“We already support all major hardware, operating systems and databases, but it has now extended to XenServer 5.x and can be installed as a guest for concurrent backups if the user already has another backup product ” said Wagner. The module allows for the online backup and auto restore and auto restart of desired VM’s. Installation and subsequent backup and recovery operations are quick and easy. Backups also can be performed within a storage area network.
In addition, SEP enables users to migrate data from disk to disk to tape and transfer data securely over the network via AES 256 encryption and decryption. An administrative application program interface provides access to all servers and their data.
