SEP Backup Module for Citrix XenServer

SEP’s Xen & Now for Citrix XenServer offers Disaster Recovery and functionality for Citrix VMs that has been previously unavailable in the marketplace. The precise depiction of the XenServer infrastructure is displayed in the management interface showing available virtual guest systems, simplifying planning and execution of automated backup processes. No additional effort is required to backup and protect any XenServer environment. By implementing SEP’s Xen & Now, companies realize savings in operating expenses, time and manpower.

The SEP Xen and Now License enables SEP to communicate directly with the Citrix XenServer API to back up snapshot images of the virtual machines without the need for clients/agents. The user simply enters their XenCenter username and password, and a list of all Citrix hosts and virtual machines auto-populates. The user can drag and drop VMs into any backup group schedule.

The module also includes Activation Loss Prevention by keeping the same MAC Address and UID so users don't have to re-enter Windows Key Codes or re-activate third party software.

The SEP Xen and Now License is licensed per XenServer host and includes the ability to back up 10 VM guests. For environments with more than one XenServer host, SEP limits the aggregate amount of VMs, so each host can have as many guests as needed, not exceeding the total number of licensed guests. VM guest extensions are available for environments that average more than 10 VMs per host.
