SEP Backup Module for VMware ESX/vSphere Server

The SEP VMware License enables SEP to communicate directly with the VMware API to back up snapshot images of the virtual machines without the need for clients/agents. The user simply enters their vSphere username and password, and a list of all VMware hosts and virtual machines auto-populates. The user can drag and drop VMs into any backup group schedule.

This license also includes Change Block Tracking (CBT), so users can schedule incremental backups of the VM snapshot images on an ongoing basis. If backups are saved on a NFS share, users can spin up VM's directly from the copy of the backup, thus, completely eliminating downtime because no restore is required.

The SEP VMware License is licensed per VMware host and includes the ability to back up 10 VM guests. For environments with more than one VMware host, SEP limits the aggregate amount of VM's, so each host can have as many guests as needed, not exceeding the total number of licensed guests. VM guest extensions are available for environments that average more than 10 VMs per host.
