Calculating Needs

This page shows an example calculation

( assuming 5 daily full backups, 1 weekly full and 1 monthly full)

Example:
Smaller Servers: 27*4TB=96
Larger Servers: 8*8TB=64
Total TB = 160 for site/backup day

for daily(5 days) , weekly and monthly:

size=160TB
(size*5)+(size*1)+(size*1)
800+160+160=1120TB Site wide Pool Size

For smaller servers:
size=4TB
(size*7)=28TB Pool size

For larger servers:
size=8TB
(size*7)=56TB Pool size
