The commands below will set backup and restore log files to be compressed after 3 days.

Source the Sesam Profile

Linux: source /var/opt/sesam/var/ini/sesam2000.profile

Windows: c:\sepsesam\bin\sesam\sm_prof

sm_db "insert into defaults(key,user_name,value) values('compress_lis','sesam','3')"
